Utilizing the its core competences in medicine, molecular genetics, statistics, mathematics and information technology, the company's focus is data management and analysis for genomics research. Astrid supports ACIB with providing next-generation sequence analysis for metagenomics.

BASF is an industrial partner of ACIB  with strong interest in biocatalytic synthesis (flavoproteins, C=C-reduction, cyclisation, C-C-bond formation, selective oxidation, screening and modelling for optimisation of biocatalysts), polymer-modifying enzymes, functional polymers and functionalisation of polymers.

BIA Separations was established with the aim of developing and producing monolithic chromatographic supports but is also specialised in the development of downstream processes. The main focus is analysis and purification of large biomolecules like proteins, DNA and viruses. In the framwork of ACIB BIA Separations has a specific interest in the characterisation of existing ligands and the potential development of novel advantageous ligands.

Bio-ferm is an Austrian company that develops, produces and sells innovative biotechnological plant protection products. All products were developed in-house, in cooperation with the University of Konstanz. Bio-ferm supports ACIB with its knowhow in large scale fermentation and registration of microbial plant protection products. Furthermore, the screening for new efficient microbial antagonists will be supported by the conduction of greenhouse and field trials.

Biomerx Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH is specialized in the development of processes and products for the food industry. Within the group different facilities are applying these technologies and specialized in processing and drying milk based raw materials. This expertise is also provided for ACIB with a focus on the enzymatic processing of lactose.

BIOMIN Holding GmbH, located in Herzogenburg and Tulln (BIOMIN Research Center), is a medium size Austrian company focusing on the development and manufacturing of innovative biological feed additives.
