Verena Beck studied Food Science and Biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna.
After earning her PhD degree at the Department of Biotechnology in 2007 she continued her research work in the group of Prof. Alois Jungbauer in applied research projects and was in tight contact with industry partners. In 2010 Verena Beck changed the sides: from applied research in the lab to management of scientific projects in the ACIB administration
Since July 2010 Verena Beck has been responsible for the coordination of the research field Bioprocess Engineering.
