Matthias Drexler is Managing Director and CEO & CFO of ACIB GmbH.
Mathias Drexler studied Food Technology and Biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and gained his diploma at the Institute of Applied Microbiology (today: Department forf Biotechnology). He earned his PhD in the framework of an international PhD programme in 2000 at the University of Vienna in the lab of Prof. Wolfgang Schneider.
As of 2000 Mathias Drexler was acive in the field of management consulting. In the framework of the "Innovationsagentur Gesellschaft mbH" he accompanied young Start-ups in the life-science field as a project manager and organised the first Austrian biotech business-plan competition "Best of Biotech". When the austria wirtschaftsservice was founded as an Austrian business promotion bank Mathias Drexler took over the field of corporate communications and was active as a proxy and staff unit of the management until 2010.
As of November 2010 Mathias Drexler took over the position of a managing director of ACIB.
