Birgit Marckhgott studied Biology at the University of Vienna. After her graduation (2002) she was project leader in different organizations (research institutes, NGOs, regional management), member of national and international expert groups and amongst other things involved in public relations work. As of 2008 she was part of the organizing team preparing the application for the COMET K2-Centre ACIB.
