About BioToP

The PhD program BioToP is a research-based doctoral education at the interface of basic and applied science in the field of protein biotechnology at the Vienna Institute of Biotechnology (VIBT) at BOKU, Vienna.

BioToP provides comprehensive training in the fields of

  • structure-function analysis, engineering and design of proteins,
  • protein synthesis, targeting and post-translational modifications,
  • expression systems and cell factories as well as
  • bioinformatics and molecular modelling.

For further information please visit the BioToP homepage (http://biotop.boku.ac.at)

Funded by: Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and BOKU.

About Molecular Enzymology

The DK Molecular Enzymology is an international doctoral studies program offered jointly by the University of Graz and the Graz University of Technology since 2005. Our research program aims to understand the molecular structures, mechanisms and the cellular functions of enzymes important to very broad aspects of biology.

The program is interdisciplinary in nature with prominent contributions from

  • biochemistry
  • biotechnology
  • molecular and cellular biology
  • microbiology
  • organic chemistry
  • structural biology

For further information please visit the Molecular Enzymology homepage (http://dk.uni-graz.at/)

Funded by: Austrian Science Fund (FWF), University of Graz, Graz University of Technology, NAWI Graz
